Glucose (or dextrose in English) is the cheapest simple sugar. Its IG is high, around 90. Cianix It has a slightly sweet flavor that can give nausea during the effort. This is a good choice to take only during training. Avoid it for long drives (beyond 1h / 1h30) because of possible bloating. Maltodextrin is an assembly of molecules of glucose that is a polysaccharide. Its IG is very high around 95. The flavor is slightly sweet. It rarely causes bloating. Maltodextrin often has a DE (dextrose equivalent). This is actually a percentage of glucose as the maltodextrin contains glucose assemblies of different sizes. This information is of little importance and there is no maltodextrin low GI.
